Whyte Ridge Baptist Church is committed to coming alongside families in creating a Christ-centered foundation for their children so that in God’s timing, each child will enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Each Sunday a team of committed volunteers is ready to meet your children and provide a morning of Biblically based activities geared to meet the specific needs of each age group from nursery through to grade six.

WRBC values the safety and security of all children and volunteers involved in WRBC ministries and has a clearly defined Plan to Protect  program in place.  According to our policy, all volunteers are required to go through a screening process that involves the completion of a written application form, training, a personal interview, reference checks, Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal Record Check.

Our approach to working with children can be summarized by six words:

          • Focused – God’s Word is taught in a way that children understand and enjoy.
          • Intentional – Through small groups we model Jesus Christ and personally apply God’s Word to each child’s life.
          • Creative – The Bible and its truths are taught in an exciting, memorable way.
          • Safe – We provide a safe place for children emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
          • Relevant – Biblical truth is made real to each child’s life.
          • Fun – A happy, healthy place for kids to meet God and other kids.

What to expect on Sundays:

Baby Room: Our Baby Room is located on the main floor across from the library and is intended for parents with infants and nursing moms.

Little Lambs Nursery (11:00 am):  Nursery care is provided by certified volunteers for children who sit independently up to the age of 2 years.

SONSeekers (11:00 am):  Age relevant curriculum is chosen for preschoolers (ages 2-5 years) through grade 4, allowing children to experience and understand the truths of the Bible in a manner suitable to their age level.

4HG (11:00 am):  Children in grades 5 through 6 attend the first portion of the service with their parents and then are dismissed prior to the sermon for their own gathering. The Wave does not meet on the first Sunday of the month but stays in the service for Communion.
