Amid this fog, we need solid foundations to grow our faith and keen understanding to share the good news with others.TERM highlights both the message and the method that Jesus and Paul used in communicating the gospel with the seeker, the confused and the hardened. Learn how they used the Bible’s historical narrative to overcome objections and enhance clarity. It may well be life-changing. Cost: $30; age 15 and under attend free. Adult Bible Study: Follow Me: A Call to Die. A Call to Live. Tuesdays, February 21-April 11; 7:00-9:00p.m. Location: 126 Sauve Cres.  Cost: $18 for book. WARNING: Participating in this study could lead to permanent life changing affects! If you choose to join, we will be seeking to answer the following: What did Jesus really mean when he said, “Follow Me”? Is it possible for people to say they believe in Jesus but not truly be born again? Is it possible for people to claim the have accepted Christ into their hearts yet not actually be Christians? Not only is it possible…it’s also highly probable! We will seek to understand that the call to follow Jesus is a summons to lose our lives even as we pursue Him. To live as a disciple of Christ is to be transformed from the inside out and personally empowered to make disciples from every nation, tribe, language and people. This is a 7 week study by pastor and author David Platt on Tuesday evenings that requires a serious personal study commitment. Come and join us and Follow Jesus! You will never be bored! You will find purpose! You will never lack joy! But it will cost you. It is a summons to lose your life! Reply to this email to register.

Pray that Fort Whyte and Lafarge would agree to WRBC’s request for McGillivray property drainage into Lake Muir.

As numbers firm up for the final costs, pray that we are able to lessen the gap in financing and that discussions with the Steinbach Credit Union are favourable.

Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation presents: Is Religion Obsolete in a Scientific Age? Wednesday, February 22; 7:15p.m.; St. John’s College (Room 118), U of Manitoba  Modern scientific theories and methods provide us with powerful models and tools for understanding our world. Riding on the success of the modern sciences as their platform, some popular scientists today downplay the significance of religious questions and attempt to undermine religious truth claims. In their view, science has made religion obsolete. In contrast, the sciences provide us with accurate and effective but not comprehensive knowledge about reality. Science serves humanity best when it is practiced within a broader, holistic framework that includes other means of apprehending truth, including religious ones. (Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation is a non-profit Canadian fellowship of scientists and those interested in science, who want to understand how science should best interact with the life-giving Christian tradition. Part of our goal here at CSCA is to provide a helpful space for young believers who are struggling to reconcile Christian faith and science.)
