Joshua

Joshua Series - Week 12

From Series: "Joshua"

Joshua is a book of transitions. It bridges the first five books of the Bible with the rest of Scripture by completing Israel’s story that began with Abraham (Gen. 12:1-3) and settles them in the Promised Land. But how Israel takes possession of the land is key to understanding Joshua (1:3). Along the way many faith lessons arise as Israel is forced to depend on God or choose to lean on their own understanding. This expository series marches with Joshua and Israel into Canaan to take possession of what God had already given them. Along the way we will discover that we also have been given many “great and precious promises” from God (2 Peter 1:4; cf. Eph. 1:3), yet we have the responsibility to take possession of them by faith in Christ.
