Jesus said all the commandments can be reduced down to two actions – loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and loving our neighbour as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). One of the main ways we demonstrate this love for God and others is through our serving. The Bible tells us this is so central to who we are as Christians that God has given us unique gifts to be used in serving others (1 Peter 4:10-11).
