 UPCOMING EVENTS AND CURRENT NEWS:


Plan to Protect Refresher & Children’s Ministries Orientation: Sunday, September 17 and September 24 – Please note these important dates for Plan to Protect:

  • September 17th
    • 10:00 am – Annual refresher Plan to Protect training for all security/greeters, nursery workers, preschool teachers and puppet volunteers, Scripture Memory listeners. **This is required training for all who work with children and youth.
    • 11:00 am – Children’s ministry orientation for the coming year for security/ greeters, nursery workers, preschool teachers, Scripture Memory listeners and puppet volunteers.
  • September 24th
    • 10:00 am – Annual refresher Plan to Protect training for all worship and workshop leaders, shepherds, 4HG workers and ALL OTHERS WHO WILL BE WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN SOME CAPACITY.
    • 11:00 am – Children’s ministry orientation for the coming year for all worship and workshop leaders, and Shepherds.

WRBC Movie Night – The Case for Christ:  Sunday, September 24; 6:00-8:00 pm – Based on the true story of award-winning investigative journalist, Lee Strobel — and avowed atheist — who applies his well-honed journalistic and legal skills to disprove the newfound Christian faith of his wife… with unexpected, life-altering results.  This is a FREE event. Paintball at Splatters:  Saturday, September 30; 10:30 am at Splatter’s (near New Bothwell) – All welcome, minimum age is 10 years. Cost: $25-$30. LIFEPATH MINISTRIES

Women’s Ministries – An Inductive Bible Study by Kay Arthur (Precept.org):  Mondays; 7:00 – 9:15 pm – This easy-to-learn method will transform your personal study time.  Location: 125 Girton Blvd.  For additional information, Contact: Barb Brewer (204-807–5846).  Register online here for the upcoming sessions:

Women’s Ministries – Secret Sisters Kick-Off and Reveal Pizza Party:  Saturday, September 23; 7:00 pm – Secret Sisters is a prayer support ministry where each person is provided a `secret sister` to pray for and encourage over the coming year. YOUTH MINISTRIES – 4HG (Grades 6 to 12)


4HG (Grades 6 to 12): In House Event; Monday, September 11; 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Contact: Pastor Kevin Schular.  Register for 4HG online here and complete the Letter of Consent for Transportation here.


CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES – SONSeekers (Nursery to Grade 6)  


Sunday, September 10, 10:00 am –  Worship by The Lake at 2405 McGillivray (no programming).

Sunday, September 17, 11:00 am –  Nursery as usual. Ages 2 to 5 years – combined class. Grades 1 to 4 – Combined class.  Those entering grade 1 join this group on this date.

Sunday, September 24, 11:00 am – Nursery as usual. Ages 2 to 5 years – regular classes for age 2 and 3 years / age 4 and 5 years.  Age 2 children will move from the nursery to the 2/3 year old class.  Grades 1 to 4 – Combined class. All children from nursery to grade 4 need to be registered for the 2017/18 year. Registration forms are available at the church information centre and at the SONSeeker sign-in table on Sundays.
