Building Project Prayer Requests:

  • Steinbach Credit Union has approved our request for financing in support of our building project. Praise God for this positive result, which is another major step towards our goal.
  • Letters have been sent to four local congregations who had previously expressed an interest in purchasing our current property. We expect to receive their proposals over the summer and make decisions on this in the fall. As this process unfolds, please pray for positive outcomes that will be God-honouring.

The Red Letters; July 19 – Fringe Festival Show – Synopsis: Christ is crucified. Hanging on the cross the Red Letters pour out. In anguish, he recalls his temptations, his beatitudes, and his sermons. Did they really hear him at all? He had always known it would come to this. Now, nailed to a cross, he hangs on to the love that he shared with his closest companions at their last meal. As he is mocked, he looks ahead to his ultimate victory over death. Breathing his last, he catches a vision of his glorious return as the Lord of all Creation.
Performed by Jason Daase. Music by Trevor Olfert.
Tickets: $10. Available online at Winnipegfringe.com, or at the door. See website for show times.

Jesus calls his followers to be salt and light to the world (Matthew 5:13-16). We seek to live as His faithful servants and be agents of His transforming presence in our society and the world. Evangelicals engage in all areas of life as part of our witness, and we want to be obedient to God in the pursuit of justice and care for the vulnerable.   One of the ways we do this is to learn about key issues facing our culture, and think through how biblical principles apply in these areas.  A way to do so is to join the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada‘s email list or to browse through their resource database containing hundreds of topics online.
