Jenna Oeste

Jenna Oeste passed away into glory this morning. Please pray for peace and strength for the Oestes and their entire family as they grieve the loss of their sweet Jenna, and may we also together cling to the comfort of knowing that she is safe and joyful in the arms of Jesus her Saviour.

A celebration of Jenna's life will be held at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, September 26th at 3 pm. Jenna's favourite colours were pink, purple and turquoise - if you have any clothing in any of those colours, you are invited to wear them.

Thank God close to $40,000 out of the $67,000 needed has come in by kind donors and supporters. We are slowly paying off the missionaries and still no timeline on the Canada Summer Jobs Grants we were approved for.

Since we have not been officially denied, we are still believing they will eventually get released.

In the mean time, it is time to shift focus to the school ministry (Discovery Time). Orientation training begins first week of October for all the volunteer teachers in the public schools that run DT. Pray for the training, pray for the coordinators and teachers that are stepping down and pray for every gap to get filled quickly before Orientation begins. Pray that CEF will be able to secure the funding for the resources for the school program ($4,000) and finally thank God that we (Manitoba) can still legally have Religious Instruction in schools.

This is an opportunity that should not go untapped. Pray that CEF will continue to pioneer new schools every year as we work with new principals, parents and teachers. Let there be an increase in school ministry this year - in the mighty name of Jesus - AMEN and AMEN and AMEN!

My name is Angel. I humbly ask for your prayers for my father, who is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the Philippines, battling for his life.

Please pray that God will touch him with His healing hands, give him strength, and help his body respond well to the treatment. May God guide the doctors and medical team caring for him and give them wisdom in every decision.

We continue to hold on to our faith and trust in God’s power, mercy, and love. May He grant my father healing, strength, and another chance to be with our family.

Pray for our Celebration Event this evening, where we can truly celebrate how God has sustained the mission and the missionaries all summer.

We can celebrate in one club on a reserve, Dakota Tipi Reserve - all 10 kids who came out, asked Christ into their lives as their Lord and Saviour and 4 got baptized. Glory to God!

Pray specifically for our Canada Summer Jobs Program Officer - Christopher Strain and his supervisor Michael, who have chosen to be non-responsive throughout the summer and whether there is some religious bias or not, has played an integral part in how our summer has played out. Pray for them for however God intends to show them His glory.

Finally, pray for our letters of appeal to partners, churches and supporters, 800+ appeal letters have been mailed out or handed out, asking God's people to rise to this challenge. $67,000 will need to come in by the end of August to be able to fully cover the rest of our summer expenses. God is more than able to do far more than we anticipate so pray that God will stir many hearts to give or act as advocates for this worthy cause of bringing the Gospel to so many communities that have now been reached this summer.

God has not brought us this far to leave us now.

Jenna Oeste

Please pray for Jenna Oeste. This morning at the hospital she had a crisis and was taken to ICU.

It has been determined that she has bleeding somewhere in her stomach. They are planning to do a CT scan and then a surgery to stop the bleeding.

Please pray for wisdom for the medical staff and for strength and healing for Jenna, as well as for the Oeste family.

Cuba Mission Trip – Prayer Request

Please keep Richard Salas in your prayers as he travels to Cuba from August 1–15, 2026.

Pray for the Lord's protection, wisdom, strength, and guidance throughout every step of this mission.

Ask that God would go before him, open doors for meaningful ministry, and use this trip to encourage and strengthen His church.

During his time in Cuba, Richard will be serving alongside local pastors and church leaders, overseeing ministry at the seminaries in Las Tunas and Camagüey, and visiting six church plants in Sancti Spíritus. He is looking forward to seeing the current situation firsthand, encouraging believers, equipping leaders, and seeking the Lord's direction for future ministry opportunities.

Thank you for faithfully praying that God would be glorified and that His kingdom would continue to advance in Cuba.

Amanda Hogue

Hello church family,

I am asking for your prayers as I prepare for an upcoming surgery this coming Tuesday, the 14th. Barring any emergency surgery that my surgeon may have to do, then my surgery may be bumped. But if all goes well my surgery time is 7:45 a.m.

It is going to be a more permanent repair (God willing) to my ongoing problem of a ventral hernia.

I have had 2 emergency surgeries in the past that repaired it but not to the extent of what this surgeon will be doing.

I am asking for God's wisdom and guidance for the Surgeon, Dr. Hampton and her surgical team.

And for myself that my body would have the strength for a swift recovery and no complications. I understand it will be a long surgery and the recovery time may be long, but I am completely in the hands of our loving heavenly Father.
