The funeral for Ed Newfield will be held this coming Saturday (March 17th) at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church at 11 am. Please continue to pray for his wife Elaine and the rest of their family and friends during this time.

Barb, Wayne & Maddie Brewer.
Barb's mom (Marjorie Dold) lives in Atlanta, GA close to Barb's sister Suzanne & family. Mrs. Dold had a very bad fall last week and was in the hospital in Atlanta. Sadly she passed away last night. She is now home with her Lord and reunited with her husband.
Please pray for Barb & family as they make arrangements to fly her mom home to Chicago and make funeral arrangements. Also for the whole family as they travel to Chicago, for the funeral.

Prayer request from Andrew Friesen: Courtney Joy and I (your missionaries with Africa Inland Mission) will be making our final trip to Manitoba before leaving for France and then onto Chad the following year! We will be gone for 3 years so we want to make the most of our time out west. It will be great to connect with the congregation and share a little bit more about our upcoming ministry in Chad! We arrive in Winnipeg on March 29 and return to Toronto on April 26. A major prayer request is regarding transportation. We will be traveling throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan to fundraise and say our goodbyes. It would be a huge blessing if someone was able to lend us a car during that month. Thanks and God bless!

Update from Katy Hollander: Thank you to each one of you who lifted up my client in prayer over the past couple of weeks. She ended up being in court for two days and although it was difficult and exhausting, I think it went as well as it could considering the circumstances. It will be about a month until we know the outcome of her case, but no matter what that result is my client can rest in knowing she did a very brave thing and her assailant has been held accountable for his actions. Praise God for His peace and comfort during this time and all that He is continuing to do in the lives of those involved.

Update from Marla Williamson: Sadly, Greg's mom passed away at around 11:30 pm Eastern time. We had to make the difficult decision to take her off of life support as her injuries were too extensive. Needless to say, we are heartbroken. We feel so supported, though - both from near and far. We continue to covet your prayer support as we make the necessary arrangements.

Please pray for one of my clients from Turning Point. She is going to court on Monday Feb. 26 to testify regarding an assault. Her assailant has pleaded not guilty. Please pray that the assailant would change his mind on or before the court date and plead guilty so that my client would not have to go through the trauma of testifying in court. Please also pray that if this doesn’t happen, that God would give her His peace and favor during the court proceedings.

Roy Norris
Laurie Norris, father of Roy Norris, was hospitalized on Feb 4th in Fort Frances and has since received a terminal cancer diagnosis. He is awaiting an airlift to Winnipeg for surgery to insert a stomach tube so that he can eat.
Pray that Laurie will have the stamina for the flight to Winnipeg, for a successful surgery, and for peace as the family faces this difficult time.

Update on Marsha's dad Rudy Loewen and Praise to our God!!
My dad was given a clear report on his MRI beginning of December. Our family was able to celebrate Christmas together with the knowledge that there was no more cancer in his brain. We are SO thankful to God for His healing and provision for our family during those rocky months, and for all the prayers of God's people!! Thank you!!

Item of praise from Paula and Lyle Loewen:
We are grateful for good news from Lyle’s surgeon following his thyroid cancer surgery. Results from the removal of his left thyroid revealed no cancer cells in his lymph nodes. No further treatments are necessary although Lyle will need regular checkups.
We would appreciate your prayers as Lyle continues to recover and we head back to Nova Scotia next week.

Please pray for Patti and Dieter Bonas. Patti suffered a small stroke yesterday and is currently recovering at Health Sciences Centre. She has been moved onto the ward and will likely be in hospital for 3 or 4 days as the medical team continues to monitor her condition.
