Update on our son-in-law Noah Friesen.
Nine days after falling from a collapsed building, Noah is home! He sustained 3 fractured vertebraes and a fractured sternum. With the aid of a brace ranging from his sternum to his pelvis, he is able to sit and walk.
We are thankful to God that he is in good spirits and able to sleep in his own bed. We pray for a full recovery.
His brother Keaton also fell, and just last night awoke from a coma! Pelvic, shoulder and facial surgeries are slated in the near future.
Thank you for your prayers!

Prayer request for Ramona update:
Ramona's eye surgery on Friday went well, and the post-op meeting with the surgeon today confirmed that he anticipates a good recovery. In 3 weeks her eye will have settled down and she will be able to go for an updated glasses prescription.
Thank you for praying!

My wife Ramona will be having her final surgery on Friday June 6th on her eye. This will be the final stage that hopefully fixes her detached retina. Please pray that the Lord would have it that she will be able to keep her sight and that her retina will stay attached.
Thanks for your prayers

Harry and Ramona Hirsch
Please pray for Harry and Ramona Hirsch's son-in-law Noah and Noah's brother Keaton. On Tuesday morning, the two of them were working on a 30-foot roof that collapsed. Among other things, Noah suffered three fractured vertebrae and a broken sternum and his brother suffered facial fractures and a broken pelvis. Both are currently recovering in-hospital.
Noah will likely be going home relatively soon, though in a significant body cast. Please pray for Noah and his brother Keaton, as well as for Harry, Ramona, their daughter and entire family as they discern the best way to care for Noah at home as well as for their 4-month old baby.

Please pray for the forest fire situation in Eastern Manitoba. A state of emergency has been declared. Or camp, Camp Nutimik, as well as several other Christian camps are located in this area and have been evacuated. Our staff all left safely just ahead of the evacuation order. Pray for residents who live in the area- for everyone to be safely evacuated. Pray for much needed rain to come, the safety of those fighting the fires, and the fires to be put out quickly.

Jenna Oeste was admitted into the Victoria Hospital yesterday afternoon for problems with her bowels. Last night at 11pm she finally had an x-ray and CT scan. It was revealed that her colon has stopped working or gone to sleep. She has a blockage due to having previous surgery and scar tissue on the colon(she has lost a portion of her colon). Today, she is waiting on a transfer to St. Boniface Hospital where the surgery team will assess and see what can be done. Pleas continue to pray for her that all will go well and that this colon and blocked bowels issue will be resolved.

The Haida family have been attending our church since they arrived in Winnipeg nine months ago. Muhammad, Aisha and their three children came to Canada as refugees from Mauritania due to religious persecution. Mauritania is almost entirely Sunni Muslim and anyone who converts to Christianity is subject to criminal prosecution. Christian converts from Islam face constant hostility, acts of physical violence and the threat of imprisonment. Muhammad has been threatened, beaten and imprisoned because of his efforts to share the Gospel with his fellow Mauritanians.
While Muhammad and his family are now safe in Canada, they still have two adult daughters and five grandchildren struggling to survive in Mauritania. They ask for prayers of protection for their family and God’s providence to sustain them with their daily needs. They also ask for your prayers as they seek to find a way to have them leave Mauritania and someday join them in Canada.

My daughter, age 31 and mother to 3, is going through a divorce. Her ex husband is emotionally and financially abusive. She’s overwhelmed, depressed, anxious and afraid of her future. My once self assured, vibrant daughter is broken. Needing God’s grace and mercy.

Eric Bergmann
Peacefully, early this morning Eric Bergmann passed from this life to eternity after his battle with cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. He is free from pain and suffering and is with his Heavenly Father.
We rejoice in knowing that what he believed his whole life has now been made sight. Eric and Lorraine began attending WRBC in 1992 and he loved his church family, serving in many areas. After health struggles prevented him from attending in person, he would watch online.
Your prayers for the family are appreciated.

I received the news this week that I have no radiological evidence of cancer, so I am considered to be cancer free!
My statement for this day is summed up in this, "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation".
Blessings to you for your support for Vicki and me in the past 1+ year(s). I look on that support with great appreciation and thankfulness. And I look forward to what this next year will bring.
