Our thanks to our Prayer Coordinator of many years, Shirley Wynne, for her coordination of this important ministry. Without her years of service, this ministry would not have blessed many over the years.

We are excited to announce as a Pastoral and Communications Team that Irene Toews will be stepping into this role, and that future prayer requests may be submitted directly to her via the Prayer Wall or at [email protected].

And, a reminder: Don't forget to select 'I prayed for this' on our Prayer wall when you receive upcoming emails. When selected, the individual requesting prayer will receive encouragement via a notification by email indicating that they have been prayed for.

My niece Christine (older sister of Natalie, who you have been praying for over the past 6 years) is in need of prayer! Following some pain in her lower back and tests which reveal blood in her urine Christine had an ultra sound last week that shows a 2cm mass on her kidney. She will be having a CT scan this Wednesday. Please put this on the top of your pile….Christine and Dan have 3 boys and this is a very scary time for all of us.

Update on Natalie: Natalie has been doing very well on her immunotherapy, but last week found out that the tumours are growing again. She will have a porta cath installed to infuse the chemo she will start after her 6th gamma knife procedure. The gamma knife has been successful to date in treating the tumours in her brain. Please continue to pray for her, Her husband Jeff and their 3 boys.

This September marks 5 years since Earl passed away and this current situation is very hard to accept. Please pray for me!

Peter and Phyllis Chester

Peter Chester suffered a stroke this afternoon and has been taken to Health Sciences Centre. He is conscious but is having difficulty with speech. Please pray for Peter and Phyllis at thus time. Update to follow.

Olga Bredin (mother of Zelma Zozman) - We are sad to announce that Olga Bredin passed away peacefully on Friday evening at Calvary Place Personal Care Home. A celebration of her life will be held:

Pastor Alf Bell

Pastor Alf has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone cancer). Praise God that the prognosis appears to be positive, with the cancer being manageable for long-term. Alf is currently at Health Sciences Centre where he will be receiving a number of treatments between now and Thursday. He will likely be transferred back to Victoria Hospital after that point. Right now Alf is in RR655 and is very open to visitors. Please pray for peace for both Alf and Marie during this time.
