George & Susan Shallcross (for daughter Mary) Thank you for all your prayers for our family over the last weeks!
Mary and I went to Toronto General Hospital for a three line cardiac angiogram. It showed that she has two of her bypasses leaking, one on each side of her heart. There is a specialist that is willing to try to plug the leaks but after we were told this they held a conference and we were asked to consider a heart and lung transplant. This came as a big shock to us!! The decision now is to hold a more intense conference involving specialists from other centers to decide what is the best option for Mary.
• Pray that all medical parties can meet in a timely manner to make an informed decision
• Mary has had to leave her employment but hopes to work part time to defray some of the financial costs. Pray that funding will be found for her care.

For the Board and Staff Retreat this Saturday as they study the book 'LeaderShift' deeper together and reflect on how we can utilize learnings to help our people see and use their gifts in service to God, as well as discussion regarding our capacity to grow in our current facilities and how we make that happen.
For the upcoming Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 17th, 7:30 pm, as they review and approve the 2016 budget and discuss moving forward with building.
For the Congregational Meeting on Sunday Nov 22nd, 6:00 PM, as well as for the preparations leading up to the meeting.

Please pray for Dave Henkelman who had a setback over the weekend and had to be intubated again. He has become more ill in many of the aspects of his health except for the heart pumps that are working well. Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they try to identify and treat the cause.

Henkelman Family
Dave Henkelman was flown by air ambulance to Edmonton for an assessment to receive an Lvad (internal heart pump with external batteries). This device can bridge him until transplant. Please pray Dave will be stable enough that they can do this surgery. Heidi has also flown out to Edmonton via a commercial flight.
Please continue to pray for peace for Dave and wisdom for his entire medical team. Please pray for strength and peace for Heidi, Jenny and Mark.

Dave Henkelman is now listed for a heart transplant. We consider this a miracle as his kidneys were really struggling over the weekend. He will require a match for body size, blood type and donor antibodies. Finding the right heart for Dave will truly be another miracle. Everyday countless organs get put in the ground. We are once again praying for a generous family who will share the gift of life in a terrible moment of grief.

Dave Henkelman is in the CCU now. This week he is undergoing many tests evaluating him for transplant.
His kidney function remains a concern. Increasing dosages of IV medication are not yet bringing the values down to a range where he would be considered for another heart transplant.
Please pray that his kidneys would respond well and soon!
