George & Debbie Giesbrecht

Update - George Giesbrecht left yesterday to SK to prepare for his brother’s (Ed) funeral and to serve as his executor. George arrive there safely last night. The funeral service is being held tomorrow morning at 11 in Warman. After the service, Ed will be cremated and his ashes will be brought back to MB for burial. A memorial service will be held here at a later date. Please pray that the Lord will bless George, and his family, with comfort, strength and wisdom over the coming days as they grieve together and take care of Ed’s affairs.

Praise God! Henry's surgery was successfully completed at 11 am. Praise God for the strength He has given to Henry and the family.

Chris Schroeder requests prayer for his Uncle Al who is dealing with the personality-altering effects of a brain tumor in Saskatchewan.

It has been hard on the family to see his personality change so drastically, resulting in violent outbursts and, recently, his leaving the hospital and needing to be located by police. Pray for my father as he comforts and supports my aunt and cousins in the midst of all of this difficult time.

Please pray for healing - mentally, physically, and emotionally - for Al and for peace for his family during this emotional time.

Debbie Hopkins - Praise for my brother Brian who underwent surgery to remove his prostrate yesterday. The surgery went well and it appears that the cancer was contained to the gland.

Continue to pray as he recovers.

My niece Natalie has started a new chemo treatment for her Melanoma so can you continue to pray for its effectiveness she is running out of options for future treatment.

Praise item: After searching for a few months, my roommate has found a job in Quebec. Please pray that he will find an affordable place to stay and a church family. He begins his job on Monday and leaves on Saturday.

Please pray that God would bring me another roommate who is a Christian.

Wayne & Andrea Edel

Update on Lauryn Edel:

We would like to thank you all for praying for Lauryn and our family this past week. Your prayers provided us with peace and strength during this time. To give a brief update, Lauryn has a swollen optic nerve affecting one of her eyes that is causing her to have reduced vision. It does appear to be slowly healing on its own. The doctors will be monitoring her for the cause of this, which could be a number of factors, which is why she will be having a repeat MRI done again in 6 months. The cause of this condition is typically associated with MS which is what the doctors will be looking for. As a prayer request, please continue to pray that she will get her vision fully restored and that she will not have repeat episodes of this. Praise God for an amazing medical team that He put in place to work with us. Thank-you.

Please pray that the Lord would raise up future Camp Nutimik Board members to replace those that will be stepping down after faithfully serving their maximum term on the Camp Board. Three positions ( President, Secretary and Treasurer ) will become vacant effective March 3th, 2014.

Wayne & Andrea Edel

Please pray for Lauryn Edel (daughter of Wayne and Andrea Edel). The Edels had taken Lauryn to an appointment with an eye doctor because she was experiencing blurred vision in one eye. She was quickly referred to specialists and is now at Children's Hospital awaiting an MRI after the discovery of swelling around her optic nerve. Please pray that God would quickly resolve this problem, and that He would grant Lauryn and the Edels peace during this time.
