Update: Please note that very shortly after Cathy had submitted the prayer request below that her mother Catherine passed away. She has requested this update to be added to the original submission.

Request from Cathy Lakin:
I would like to request prayer for my family.
My 94 year old mother (Catherine) is in hospital in Edmonton and she is very ill. She is unconscious and not responding to treatment. The family was given the choice of what her treatment should be none of which would give a positive outcome. We have decided that she should be kept comfortable and to leave her in God's hands.
We have decided not to travel to Edmonton partly because of Covid restrictions in the hospital and also the fact that she wouldn't know we were there. The hardest part is realizing that we are just waiting for her to die. It could be hours or it could be days.
So I would ask for peace for us and her.
