Our hearts are heavy as we hear of the tragic loss of life in British Columbia.
We join with so many across the country in mourning with those who mourn, and we lift up in prayer the families who have lost loved ones, the injured, the first responders, and the entire community that has been shaken by this tragedy.
In moments like these, we are reminded that God is near to the brokenhearted and present in our pain. As Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
As a church family, we pause and pray—asking God to bring comfort to the grieving, healing to the hurting, wisdom to those leading the response, and the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, to all who are affected
