Reminder: Kids Pajama Jam!

Merry Christmas SONSeekers and families!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas together celebrating the joy of Jesus’ birth among family and friends!  Please join me in giving thanks to our wonderful and amazing leaders and youth helpers. They go above and beyond each week to be able to provide a safe and meaningful space for your kids to learn about Jesus!  We are so thankful for them!

Don’t forget this Sunday morning (tomorrow) we are having our annual Kids Pajama Jam!
Kids can wear their favorite Christmas pajamas (or other cozy pajamas or outfits) to church and we’ll be watching a Christmas movie (or veggies tales episode) together.  They can also bring along 1 stuffy to snuggle (please make sure it’s labeled with their name!).

Note: We will be serving popcorn and juice boxes to everyone – so please mention at the check-in desk if you have any specific dietary needs or concerns about your child with this snack. **We can give our preschoolers goldfish crackers instead if preferred.** 

To make drop off and pick up run smoothly, kids will still start out in their classroom areas like normal and will have some activity stations set up before we start our movie.   Grades 2-4 will all be together in the Theatre Room and Preschoolers to Grade 1’s will all be together in the Preschool area.

FYI – The Wave (kids in Grade 5&6) will be meeting as usual tomorrow, but will be having their own fun Christmas devotions and activity time. Reminder that they will not be meeting on January 4th as it’s the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday) and will be back again on January 11th.

Merry Christmas to all our WRBC families!
As Christmas approaches, I’m sure there is a lot of excitement in your home!  Blessings to you all as you celebrate the birth of our Savior and Lord this Christmas!

There is so much hustle and bustle over the season, but my prayer for you all is that you are able to take some time with your families to reflect on and make meaningful memories together.  I’m sure you have many traditions you have created with your family… like reading Luke 2:1-21 (the passage on the birth of Christ), making Christmas cookies, going skating, or dinners with family and friends. Whatever you do, I hope you are filled with joy and peace in knowing Jesus was born to save us from our sins – it’s the best gift of all!

Reminder!!
Our WRBC Christmas Eve service will be on December 24th at 5:00pm.

There is NO Children’s Ministry Programs running on Christmas Eve. The Nursery room will be open for parents to use with their small children as needed.  The Children’s Ministry space will be open as overflow for anyone to use if the auditorium is full (we will have the TV on and playing the livestream service).

The Kids Craft Carts in the auditorium as well as the overflow area will have coloring sheets and activities for the kids. 

December 28th – It’s our Kids Christmas Pajama Jam for SONSeekers (PreK to Grade 4)!  Kids can wear their favorite Christmas Pajamas (or special outfits) and we’ll have a fun activity morning with popcorn, juice and a Christmas Movie (show).

The Wave (kids in Grade 5&6) will not be meeting on January 4th as it’s the first Sunday of the month (Communion Sunday) and will be back on January 11th.

Kids at the Ridge – Another Christmas Update!

Hi Parents,
Just a little check in and an update for you all as we get closer to Christmas and some special events we have here at WRBC!  We are so glad to see so many familiar faces in our program and some new ones too! Welcome to our new families!
This Fall, we’ve been really excited to see our kids be active players in our Bible story time. Our Preschool to Grade 1 kids are loving our interactive Bible Story time – ask them who Topher the Gopher is!    They especially loved it when our fun characters mix up the Bible story and they get to be the ones who have to fix it and tell us the story instead! Our Grade 2-4 kids have also been super active during Bible story time by acting it out, solving puzzles or competing for trivia champion status!  We love seeing this new way kids are engaging with the Bible.
The kids have been doing SO well practicing their Christmas songs on Sunday mornings with us, and since they are quite catchy tunes, I know you’ll love them too!  Check out our song playlist link below to keep practicing at home!
Just in case there was any confusion, ALL kids in Preschool to Grade 4 are welcome to be on stage with us for our Kids Christmas Program on December 14th during the 10:30am church service!  Our biggest requirement for participating is making sure that you have filled out our Child Registration Form for this year (Sept 2025 to Aug 2026)!

This form includes the photo permissions we need (Yes, I give permission..) for your kids to be on stage on that Sunday. If you have questions about the photo permission or would like to just give permission for this one event, please email me and I’ll send you an alternate form to fill out.

KIDS AT THE RIDGE CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: Sunday, December 14th during the 10:30am service.

(If you can please sign up to let us know your child will be there for this date, that would be very helpful for us as we are planning our stage layout!  https://whyteridgebaptist.breezechms.com/form/kidschristmas2025 – Just an fyi,  all the roles for the special music and nativity play have already been assigned so we just need the yes or no if you will be there that Sunday!).
If your child does NOT want to participate on stage with us, they can sit in the service with you that morning to watch and then once our program part is done, parents are welcome to sign in their kids as usual and they can join us for the remainder of the service for some fun activities. 

DRESS REHEARSAL: Saturday, December 13th, 10am to noon.

We ask that all our kids participating on stage to attend our FULL DRESS REHEARSAL on Saturday, December 13th. We understand that not everyone can make this rehearsal, so please let me know if you can’t, but this is key to your child feeling confident singing on stage on the Sunday.  For those of you that are in the Nativity play or doing special music performances, this is our ONLY chance to practice on stage, so this is a key rehearsal for us!  We will provide the kids with a light snack partway through the morning.   If your child is part of our special song or the nativity play, we will let you know if you need to come earlier/stay later.

GINGERBREAD BASH!  Saturday, December 6th 5:45pm to 7pm – Registration Required!

It’s official, we are about to have a bash… a Gingerbread Bash!  We hope you can join us this December 6th for our 4th annual event.
During our event, kids will be making a Gingerbread Nativity, playing some games and hearing the story of Jesus’ birth. Kids at the Ridge – Christmas Update! (With Links)

Hey Parents!

Looks like the link to our Christmas Songs Playlist from my last email did not go through!  Here is the link to our playlist so your kids can practice the songs at home and learn the motions!

Hi friends, 

Well the days are inching closer to Christmas and we have jumped right into our Christmas song practices, and will be starting our play practices this Sunday as well.  Thank you to those families that signed up to let us know how your kids want to participate in our Kids Christmas Program this year!  We have assigned most of our roles and will be going over things this Sunday and contacting parents about it as well!

CHRISTMAS SONGS for our Christmas Program:
Sharon, Jackson and I finished recording our Christmas songs with motions so you can practice at home!  (You don’t want to know how many outtakes we had!). Please have the kids practice this OFTEN! It will sound different on the 14th when we are up on stage with more instruments, but this is a great video to learn the words and motions!  Christmas Songs Playlist!

Don’t forget to write down the dates for our big Dress Rehearsal! It’s VERY important that ALL our kids who will be on stage for the choir and play portions attend this dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 13th from 10:00am to noon.  We will provide the kids with a snack and will be going on stage to see where we are standing and practice our songs with the band! It’s also a great 2 hours for you to get some Christmas shopping done :)  If your child is part of our special song or the play, we will let you know if you need to come earlier/stay later.
