Foodbank Christmas Hampers – Our WRBC Foodbank is collecting Christmas Hampers to give to the 60 families who visit our foodbank. A suggested shopping list is provided (est. cost $70). On the first Thursday of the month WRBC facilitates a worship service at the Rosewood Retirement Home on Wilkes Ave. We have an ensemble of singers leading several hymns in the service. If you would like to be part of this group please contact Lorraine Bergmann (204-330-2483). Practice will take place at Rosewood, 9:20am, the day of the service.

Membership Meeting, Sunday, December 3, 12:00 PM, immediately following the morning service. This meeting will be held in-person, in our church building, and will include voting to welcome new members, electing a new Board member, and presentation and approval of the 2024 budget. Foodbank Christmas Hampers – Our WRBC Foodbank is collecting Christmas Hampers to give to the 60 families who visit our foodbank. A suggested shopping list is provided (est. cost $70). Ab Chudley has left 2 copies of his recently published book, Eleven Days in Kyiv, for members of our church to borrow. It is based on his experience in Ukraine as an exchange teacher to the medical school and postgraduate institution in 1992 shortly after Ukraine had achieved it’s independence from the former Soviet Union. It is based on a diary that he kept during the visit. He has included his personal testimony that he gave to Whyte Ridge Baptist Church in January 9, 2022. Dear Friends of Pathway Camp Ministries
Thank you for your ongoing prayer and financial support over the years. We are grateful to God for all of the many campers, volunteers, staff members, supporters, and communities He has made a part of Pathway. Building meaningful relationships has been the heart of this ministry. We appreciate each of you. Unfortunately, due to the COVID interruption and a lack of sufficient staffing, we were unable to resume camps and programs. We are sad to share the news that after a lengthy period of prayer and discernment, it was decided that it was the right time for Pathway to end its formal ministry and transfer its assets to an organization that has a similar mission. We are excited to bless Northern Canadian Evangelical Mission and support the work they are doing with Indigenous communities. Please know that your past contributions will still be put to good use.
A very special thank you to Stephane and Jenny for their hard work and leadership. Even after retiring as a staff member, Stephane has provided countless hours of volunteer work for Pathway. We also want to express our deepest appreciation for Rick and Elizabeth Greer whose faithfulness to God’s direction in their lives led to Pathway Camp Ministries being created.
We know, firsthand, the blessing that Pathway Camp Ministries has been in the lives of those who attended, volunteered with, and supported its work. If you would like to share your memories, experiences, and photos please do so by responding to this email. We are planning to put together an on-line tribute to honor the work God has done that we will post in the next few months.

Hey 4HG Peeps!
As a reminder, this week there will be no youth happening at the church as we are out at Camp Nutimik for our MBA (Manitoba Baptist Association) Retreat! We will be back in the building on the 29th of September
For those who have registered for the retreat here is what you need to know:
We have at least 75 people signed up from 5 different churches. It will be a great time of teaching, bible discussions, worship, getting to know each other, games, good food and more!
As this retreat approaches, we want to ensure that everyone is well-prepared. Here are some important details:
Payment Instructions:
Each church will collect payment from their students on Friday. ($100)
Write a cheque payable to your church and indicate “youth retreat” in the memo, same is applicable to e-transfers.
What to Bring:
Clothes, including t-shirts, shorts, and pants. The forecast suggests there might be some rain during the weekend. Be prepared to embrace the elements and enjoy outdoor activities.
Closed-toed shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor field games.
A towel for showering.
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.).
Pillow and sleeping bag or bedding for bunk beds.
What NOT to Bring:
Cell phones, laptops, iPads, or similar electronic devices.
Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, marijuana, or vaping devices.
Expensive clothing or shoes (to avoid damage during outdoor activities).
Food or snacks (we provide plenty of food, and we need to be sensitive to allergies).
Any form of body spray or perfumes (due to allergies).
Weapons of any kind.
Please take note of these guidelines to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. If you have any questions or need further information, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Transportation:
You’ll have to find your own way there and back, however if you would like to connect with others going and create a car pool, that is perfectly acceptable. There are going to be some leaders going who will have space in their vehicles and are willing to drive students. As long as everyone is clear on who drops off and who picks up we will be good. Drop-off at camp is Friday at 6:30pm, pickup from camp is Sunday at 1:30pm.

IJM Winnipeg Work Bee Party – Come and join us to do some behind the scenes work for International Justice Mission, Canada to help support our work of protection and Justice around the world. There will be a range of opportunities to do from helping write Christmas cards for donors, to learning how to send good social Media Posts, and writing encouragement notes and prayers to add to a Care Package we will take to our Guatemala Field Office in February 2024. There will also be food and beverages! This is not only an opportunity to volunteer for IJM but also a great way for us to build community with Justice-minded Winnipeggers. As a reminder, this week there will be no youth happening at the church as we are out at Camp Nutimik for our MBA (Manitoba Baptist Association) Retreat! We will be back in the building on the 29th of September
For those who have registered for the retreat here is what you need to know:
We have at least 75 people signed up from 5 different churches. It will be a great time of teaching, bible discussions, worship, getting to know each other, games, good food and more!
As this retreat approaches, we want to ensure that everyone is well-prepared. Here are some important details:
Payment Instructions:
Each church will collect payment from their students on Friday. ($100)
Write a cheque payable to your church and indicate “youth retreat” in the memo, same is applicable to e-transfers.
What to Bring:
Clothes, including t-shirts, shorts, and pants. The forecast suggests there might be some rain during the weekend. Be prepared to embrace the elements and enjoy outdoor activities.
Closed-toed shoes and clothes which are suitable for outdoor field games.
A towel for showering.
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.).
Pillow and sleeping bag or bedding for bunk beds.
What NOT to Bring:
Cell phones, laptops, iPads, or similar electronic devices.
Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, marijuana, or vaping devices.
Expensive clothing or shoes (to avoid damage during outdoor activities).
Food or snacks (we provide plenty of food, and we need to be sensitive to allergies).
Any form of body spray or perfumes (due to allergies).
Weapons of any kind.
Please take note of these guidelines to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. If you have any questions or need further information, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Transportation:
You’ll have to find your own way there and back, however if you would like to connect with others going and create a car pool, that is perfectly acceptable. There are going to be some leaders going who will have space in their vehicles and are willing to drive students. As long as everyone is clear on who drops off and who picks up we will be good. Drop-off at camp is Friday at 6:30pm, pickup from camp is Sunday at 1:30pm.

A quick reminder of some of the events we have planned for the weeks ahead, as well as a reminder to fill out some of the required paperwork needed going into this next season!
Before we get started we need Parents and Guardians to fill out this form for each individual child that would like to attend throughout the year. Please fill it out before bringing your child to the first event of the year.
We will be meeting weekly on Friday nights at 6:45pm to 9:15pm (unless otherwise indicated) for community, playing games, eating snacks, spending time in small groups, and most importantly, growing in our understanding of Jesus, who He is, what He did, what He does today in our lives, and how we can build a relationship with our creator!
We also have a special event on the horizon, as the Manitoba Baptist Association is putting on a Retreat for any student grade 6 to 12 at Camp Nutimik from September 22nd to 24th. The price of which will be $100 per person. You can find the interest / pre-registration form here. Please indicate your interest in attending immediately (payment will be arranged at a later date).

Our First event of the New Year is our Corn Maze Kickoff on September 8th at ‘A Maze in Corn’ We will meet at the Maze for 630pm until 830 pm, the cost is $13 per person, there will be S’mores, Hot Chocolate, a Petting Zoo, a Bonfire, and a good time with people your age! Hope you can make it.
