The countdown to the end of school and summer holidays has started. I felt the energy and excitement in the room this past Sunday – it was joyful!
This Sunday is our Church Family Picnic and I want to personally invite you and your family to join us!! Stick around after church for a free bbq lunch and afterwards we will have a few activities and games in the field outside for kids and families. Bring a football or lawn game to play and invite others to join. We hope this event is a great way for all our families at WRBC to build community and develop relationships. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket and some sunscreen and a hat – it might be a hot day!
Please make sure to keep an eye on your kids to make sure they stay out of the parking lot around cars – we want the kids to stay safe!

Lesson 11.3: David and Jonathan
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER – literally! We heard how David and Jonathan loved and cared for each other through thick and thin.
BIG IDEA: God gives me friends who love
BIBLE BASIS: 1 Samuel 20
KEY VERSE: “There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 (NIrV)
Dinnertime Question/Activity: Make heart shapes with your hands and say, “Thank you, God, for loving friends!” ASK: What’s one way you can show love to a friend?

Lesson 12.2 – The Book of James: Listen and Do What is Right
Sometimes it’s hard enough to get kids to listen, but it’s another challenge to get them to DO what you say. Listen and do what is right – that’s the challenge this week!
Bible Story: James 1:19-27; 2 Kings 22
Big Idea: God calls us to seek Him for wisdom in times of trouble.
Memory Verse: “Don’t just listen to the word. You fool yourselves if you do that. You must do what it says.” James 1:22 (NIrV)
DINNERTIME QUESTION: God calls us to listen to his word and do what it says. Ask your kids: What could we do as a family to spend more time in the Bible? What are some ways we can act out our faith this week?
JUNE Scripture Memory Verse
Kids can recite their monthly verse every week! They can recite to me or their classroom leader to earn a special prize. Bonus treats every time they say the verse or learn the weekly verse too!

Let me leave you all with an encouragement from Jeremiah 17:7-8: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (NIV)
Today, my prayer for you and your family is to be rooted in the One who gives you Living Water!
In Him,
